Shaving just got hip with the opening of Blues Barber in Florence’s ‘East End’.

Thanks to their stylish success to date, the expert young barbers have moved from their previous premises not far from Firenze Statuto station to a more spacious locale in via Cimabue 36, just outside of the city gates near piazza Beccaria.

Walk in off the street for the most professional of shaves: the barbers are proud to be exclusive purveyors of historic hipster Florentine brand Proraso. Founded in 1948 by Ludovico Martelli, the firm is famous for its pre- and post-shaving creams, and now vaunts single-brand barber shops all over the world from London to New York, Paris to Amsterdam.

The shop itself is a beauty to behold: it’s like something out of 1920s Manhattan, all vintage while very British at the same time. Ideal for today’s gentleman.
