Created
in 2001, this exciting month-long festival is the largest of its kind in Europe.
Museums and sites in and around Florence
will stay open after closing hours so visitors can explore centuries-old cultures
and civilizations by moonlight. In addition, visitors can enjoy special
exhibitions, archaeological cinema retrospectives, evening tours alfresco, trekking,
academic workshops (for kids and adults), as well as concerts and dinners
inspired by ancient Etruscan cuisine. For more information and complete
schedule, visit www.cultura.toscana.it/musei.htm and  www.archeologiatoscana.it or call 055/5978308
