All set to be introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the Lamborghini Huracán is expected to redefine the benchmark in the luxury supercar segment.
Boasting a V10 engine pumping 610 HP, acceleration of up to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of over 325 km/h, Lamborghini claim that the new supercar will be the natural successor to the Lamborghini Gallardo, the most successful Lamborghini ever built. While the car will be available in a four-wheel drive version at launch, a rear-wheel drive model will go on sale in 2015. A Spyder is also in the works.
Its name is derived its name from the world of bullfighting. The fighting bull Huracán of the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed was famed for his bravery and strong sense of attack.
In terms of design, Lamborghini have placed emphasis on providing an impression of width, as seen in the additional flare of the wheel arches, more highly defined shoulder line down the flanks and large cooling ducts at the rear. The distinctive internal LED headlight and taillight graphics have been taken from the Lamborghini Aventador.
From January to March, the Huracán will be the star of the show at over 130 private preview events in more than 60 cities around the world.
